Mission Statement

The Blue Tie Gala, at its core, is a gateway for change. We, the brothers of Beta Theta Pi, are at a stage in life where we are readily exposed to the unfortunate reality of how women are treated on a regular basis. This being said we are also fortunate to be in a position in life where we have the power to make real change as a collective, influential, and powerful organization. We feel there is no better time than now to facilitate the changes in society that we, as an organization, want to happen. this event is simply an instrument to project our vision of the changes we would like to see in the world.

This event among others will allow us to bring together like-minded people and share the values of our organization. We believe that the stigma surrounding the victims of sexual assault needs to change. We believe it is time to educate our peers and our community on the significance of this problem. We believe that the silence needs to end. We believe that this is long overdue. It is time to take the first step! We would love for everyone to attend this event and be a part of the change we hope to contribute to. The only way to make up for lost time is to be the spark that starts the fire.
